Once there in a village a boy lived with his grand parents. His name is Dheeran. His grandfather is a peasant. He had a land where he used to work. His grandmother also helped in agricultural activities. Dheeran was a very lazy boy. He hesitated to do any work or to accept responsibities. He use to delay all his work for no reason.
One day his grandmother woke him up in the morning and told him that she has kept a glass of milk to drink. Dheeran was didn’t get off
the bed. He slept again. When his grandmother called him again from the kitchen, he tried to wake up hastily and the milk glass
near his bed fell down. All the poured down. Dheeran didn’t drink a drop of milk his stomach was empty. A cat came there and drank all
the milk from the floor.
Dheeran’s grandma saw the cat drinking the milk from floor. She could realize what had happen. On that day as he woke up late he was
late to school too. The teacher warned him not to be late hereafter. After everyone’s advice and warning Dheeran did not change his laziness. Though his grandparents are worried about this they thought he will change when he grows up.
One day he had a weird thought that if he had any special powers he will not get scoldings from anyone for not finishing any work
on time. And he can be happy too without doing any work. So he began to pray to god.
An angel appeared before him and gave him a magic wand. Dheeran was very happy because he need not face any problems because of his laziness thereafter. He ate whatever he liked and did his homeworks with the help of the magic wand. He was very happy.
One day his grandfather came to Dheeran who was sleeping aside their farm and said that he has to go to town for a work. So he told
Dheeran to safeguard their farm from the cattles. Dheeran said that he will take care and he slept. One goat entered in to the fields
and start eating. Dheeran heard some noise and woke up. He saw the goat eating but without getting up from the bed, he thought” How
much a goat can eat? Let it eat and go”. He slept again.
Again he heard some sound, he just opened his half eyes and saw a cow eating in the farm. Again because of his laziness he didn’t get up from the bed and thought the same as before and slept.
After some time he felt much noise and animals running by dashing his cot where he was lying. When he woke there were many goats and cows grazing in the field and smashing all the grains. Dheeran was afraid and searched for his magic wand to make these cattles run out of the field. But he found the magic wand broken near the cot. So he started crying.
The Angel appeared in front of him again. It saved the field from the cattle. It told to Dheeran, ” All these happened because of your
laziness. If you let off the goat first itself there won’t be this much of cattles in the field. And don’t feel for the magic wand. If you are brisk and active, leaving your laziness and ready to work you don’t need a magic wand.”
Dheeran realized his mistake. He was active and acted responsibly thereafter.
